Trainer & Teacher.
Yvonne has been working in the area of Career Guidance and Education, both with adults and young people, since 2005. Specialising in enabling adults and young people to identify their unique combination of strengths, aptitudes, skills, traits and passions, overcoming obstacles and moving forward confidently whether it be in the marketplace or personally.
Due to her passion of working with people and enabling them to overcome obstacles and reach for their potential, she has trained as a Psychotherapist. She is really excited about the founding of her service: Inspired By You; which can offer an integrative, combined service or the an individually delivered service depending on the needs of the client.
Through founding Inspired By You Career Guidance & Psychotherapy Services, Yvonne is delighted to be offering professional profiling & transitioning consultations, one to one counselling and talks, both in schools and outside for teenagers, parents & groups of adults. She also delivers a counselling service in a counselling centre in Mayo.
Previously Yvonne worked 5 years in Yeats College Galway as the resident Guidance Counsellor and Counsellor. As a trained Teacher and Trainer, she has worked for a number of years with varying age groups in a variety of sectors, ranging from education to business and employment. Prior to this, Yvonne
enjoyed learning progressive approaches to helping people return to work who had been out of the workforce for a number of reasons. This experience included working with groups of adults in Ireland and New Zealand as a Careers Consultant. In New Zealand, this work involved Yvonne working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with a psychologist and physiotherapist, therefore reinforcing her awareness of the need for an approach that can understand the whole person irrespective of the area they are trying to move forward in.
